Ningaloo Whale Sharks Western Australia are one of the largest creatures on this planet and the largest fish in the world. The largest confirmed individual had a length of 12.65 metres (41.50 ft) and a weight of more than 21.5 tonnes (47,000 lb), but unconfirmed claims report considerably larger whale sharks. To get the opportunity to dive or swim with a whale shark makes you realise how beautiful nature can be, their size is insignificant to their gentle and inquisitive nature.

Every year, they visit the Ningaloo Reef from March until August. They are filter feeders and eat enormous amounts of plankton, krill and anchovies as they swim. Whale sharks are slow swimmers and move their entire bodies from side to side. They swim on the surface, so all you need to swim with them is a mask, snorkel and fins. Even though they are a shark, they are totally harmless and seem to enjoy the interaction with people.

We manage every aspect of your experience to assure you and your family walk away happy having a lifelong memory of swimming with whale sharks. Exmouth and the Ningaloo Coast World Heritage Area are considered to host one of the most majestic untouched coral reef areas on the globe. Whale Shark Season

March/April to August: Swim with whale sharks and snorkel the Ningaloo Reef
Late May to August: As above, plus the chance to swim with manta rays and view humpback whales.

Our success rate is high, however as we are working with Mother Nature, we ask for your consideration if certain marine life is not seen.

Your Whale Shark Adventure Tour begins at approx 7.30am when we pick you up from your accommodation in our courtesy, air-conditioned bus, and take you on a half hour drive to Tantabiddi Boat Ramp where The Magellan awaits you. By 9am, you are snorkelling on the beautiful Ningaloo Reef. A spotter plane begins looking for whale sharks and once spotted, your whale shark experience begins with the opportunity of swimming with the gentle giants of the Ningaloo Reef. Morning tea, afternoon tea and a full buffet lunch are included, as well as refreshments throughout the day. The tour ends with a few more swims on the Ningaloo Reef, before heading back to your accommodation at approximately 4.00pm. Snorkel gear, wetsuit and floating noodles (as required) are all included in the price.

• Spotter plane to locate the Ningaloo Reef whale shark & other marine life

• Swimming with the manta rays and viewing the humpback whales, inclusive on the tour when in season (late May to August)

• Gourmet lunch featuring cold meats, bakery produce & fresh salads. Catering to vegetarians and special dietary requirements also.

• Relaxing afternoon snorkel to finish the day
