THANK YOU to the Kings team for making my whale shark swim such a success. A ‘once in a lifetime’ experience run by the most professional, knowledgeable, fun-loving team on any organised excursion I’ve ever done IN THE WORLD!! From pick up to drop off the day went without a hitch, the group being well informed and enthusiastically supported by this dedicated team. The group varied greatly in age, physical fitness etc and everyone ws encouraged, and at times physically supported, to ensure that we succeeded in getting in as many swims with the whale sharks, and manta rays as possible. The ‘Humpback Highway’ was busy and Ben skillfully manourved the Magellan to ensure the best possible viewings of numerous Humpbacks on route North. Sasha, the professional photographer was exactly that, along with being a wealth of information, as were our wonderful whale shark spotters and swimmers Zoe & Margot. I cannot recommend this team highly enough. If you’ve ever dreamt of swimming with Whale Sharks…just do it, with the Kings Team.

The fact Skipper Bill stayed out in the elements chasing humpbacks and ensuring we got the best experience possible was just so wonderful. Even to the point of turning it into a sunset cruise home.

Kings provide a great whaleshark experience. Crew were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Took us out for a practice snorkel on the reef then out beyond the reef to see the whalesharks. Found myself swimming alongside a fish the size of a bus. Ok, a slight exaggeration but they’re big and very impressive. Felt the whole crew where committed to giving us the best possible experience. Made for a great day. Lot’s of fun. On today’s experience wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company for your whaleshark adventure.

Booked with Kings tour after having read the reviews (but nonetheless somewhat concerned given the cost of the tour). Overall it was a very happy choice because; Staff professional, knowledgeable and very friendly Boat big and ( relatively) stable in the swell Food good and fresh Success in seeing the sharks; very good Basically the process with the sharks is the following; A plane circling overhead radioes where the sharks are The boat rushes while the guests prepare As soon as the boat is in front of the shark you follow the guide and jump in the water on the side of the shark then you swim along for 3-5 min max Back on the boat Repeat 5 times So it is somewhat tiring ( but of course you can do just the snorkeling bit at the beginning and end of the trip or only some of the “shark jumps”) but exhilarating ( and reasonably safe) Conclusion: very informative, fun and a unique experience

From the start of the day I knew this was going to be a great day! You get picked up and dropped home at the end of the all day tour. The Magellan boat is beautiful and I can see why the crew are proud to work upon this boat. We were lucky enough to see 3 different whale sharks and plenty of other sea life (during the snorkel areas) on the day. The entire crew (Margot, Zoe, Ben, Brian and Leith) made this a day to remember, it is so wonderful to see people when they genuinely enjoy their work, the crews energy and happy vibes contributed greatly to the day – If we didn’t see a whale shark I’m sure we would have still gone home happy as it was just a great day out. The food that is provided is delicious, non stop eating all day gets my tick of approval lol Thanks again for such an amazing experience that most people dream of doing! It really was excellent!! Highly recommend Kings for your Whale Shark Tour!! My only regret is not getting the recipe for the Mexican Salad.

Just one word “AWESOME” the tour manager were awesome and they made for a funny and cool humor. they found the perfect mix of chat and restraint. On conclusion we could still extremely long swim alongside the whale shark and I observed was the tour simplified only geilllll and I would like to do the same again at the natural kings to it was not missing anything. Food and drink there was enough and it tasted like mama home.

Swimming next to these gentle giants is the most amazing thing I’ve ever done. Words cannot even begin to express how incredible it is.
The team from Kings are brilliant. the boat is the largest of the tour boats. There is a covered deck and with only 20 guests you have plenty of room. Bill, the skipper and boat owner, was fantastic, Our whale shark spotters / marine biologists were professional, informative and fun. When we were in the water they made sure it was a safe and enjoyable experience. In fact the whole team were fantastic, professional and fun.
A spotter plane looks for whale sharks while you have a snorkel on the reef and morning tea. The food was fabulous. Really nice and plenty of it. You have a late lunch after you’ve swam with the whale sharks. The deck hands do an amazing job as well.
We dived 5 times with the with four different whale sharks. We also saw humpback whales.
It was a brilliant experience that i highly recommend.
The professional photographer is your personal paparazzi, He takes footage and photos all day, You can buy a DVD /disc for $60 that can be picked up the next day. Its worth the money. In fact the whole tour is worth every cent.
The best thing you can do on Ningaloo is Whale Sharks with Kings, the best boat and the best team on the reef.

Easily the BEST tour I have EVER done. Hard to describe how good it was. We had the pleasure of swimming with 4 whale sharks – a once in a lifetime opportunity. The Magellan was large enough for the 20 guests to comfortable throughout the day. From the office staff to the marine biologists to the crew on the boat – everyone was so professional and informative and fun. When we were in the water they made sure it was a safe and enjoyable experience and these magnificent creatures were left alone for the enjoyment of others. In the morning you have the opportunity to snorkel within the lagoon and after morning tea is served. The spotter plan then commences searching for the whale sharks. We were lucky to swim with one within 5 minutes. A magnificent lunch is served onboard prior to another snorkel on the reef. Safety was always paramount. You have a professional photographer capturing the experience – DVD costs $60 and totally worth the money. You can pick it up the next day from the office. The tour was worth every cent. Highly recommend Kings for the experience of a lifetime

What an amazing day. Most professional and friendly guides also very experienced with whale shark history, facts and anatomy. Lots of exiting moments and laughs!We were able to swim with 4 fantastic whale sharks and every moment my heart nearly popped out of my chest. The creatures are so breathtaking and peaceful. I did not want this experience to end. Staff were incredibly helpful, entertaining and funny! The whole group was able to get an up close and personal swim with the mysterious creatures. We were also able to swim with a giant manta ray. Food was made with love and refreshing drinks were provided all day. I would also recommend purchasing the absolutely brilliant DVD and photos which are taken during your dive by Leith (professional photographer). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for anyone who would like to be apart of something breath taking, amazing and FUN. A must do when visiting Exmouth. Kings whale shark dive will be talked about and remember forever. Thanks to all the staff!! See you next year.

Our family of 4 – 2 Adults and 2 children (13 & 12) had a fantastic day with Kings onboard the Magellan. The crew were absolutely amazing and ensured our day was an unforgettable experience. Everything was well organised, explained clearly and FUN! The staff were highly experienced, professional and knowledgeable. We swam with a whale shark, saw a tiger shark, snorkelled coral bombies, saw humpback whales, turtles and more. Morning tea and lunch consisted of a fantastic array of salads, chicken, rolls, fruit and was in plentiful supply. Staff ensured that dietary requirements were met onboard for my son and double checked everything. The Whale Shark experience was something we will never forget. I would recommend checking the weather forecast if possible before booking or in the days leading up to your booking as strong winds make for choppy seas. Thankfully we had fantastic weather. Kings were unbelievable…… I wouldn’t book with anyone else.

Our experience with Kings far exceeded our expectations. From the 7 am pick up, right through to the 4pm drop off, we loved every minute! The staff were all amazingly friendly, informative and accommodating. The swim with the whale sharks left us all speechless- simply amazing. My children aged 8 and 10 both loved it and as parents, we felt that it was all very safe. Food was amazing too. We were sad when the day came to an end, and ready to sign up to go again by the time we hit the shore. Thanks Kings! We will return for sure.

We had a magical tour with a Kings. Even though the whale sharks had gone to ground for a week or more, and we booked on the tail of several days of windy, wet weather, we decided to take our chances on the Eco marine tour, hoping we would have to upgrade to whale shark tour on the day. Spent a glorious day snorkelling and watching the most amazing acrobatics of the humpbacks which seemed to be around in considerable, frolicking numbers, got among the mutton birds and blue tuna that were getting stuck into a huge (as in as far as the eye could see) school of bait fish. A turtle drifted by and a shovel nose shark tried to look like just another ripple in the sand. A juvenile humpback who wondered if the boat was his mother came investigating around and under us, OMG! We enjoyed excellent, fresh food. And the staff were simply terrific, fun to be around, knowledgeable, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were heading back into the harbour, all the equipment was rinsed and put away when the call from the spotter plane came “it’s big, it’s beautiful, it’s a WHALE SHARK!’ OMG, I’ve never seen people moving so fast, the vessel was put into full thrust, we all threw on fins and mask, don’t worry about wet suit, and as soon as we were positioned forward and to the side of the whale shark’s expected trajectory, in we went. By crikey the staff had it down sweet, they positioned us so that every person was in a line past which the whale shark swam, then it was fin like the blazes to follow. We were blessed with three passes, and on the third pass, I got a fabulous photo of that mighty beast. Lawks. You gotta go!

I have been in many boat tours and this has been one of the best!
Great customer service from the office ladies, on the bus and on the boat, everyone had a great vibe that made our day better! Crew was very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt sea sick just before lunch and did not feel like eating, so they offered to make my plate and put it aside in the fridge for when I got better and it was very thoughtful! I did feel better later and having that late lunch waiting for me was great. We had a generous morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Drinks available all day Also great gear for the ones that don’t have theirs. Beautiful and well maintained boat and we felt supported all the way. We were lucky enough to see the whale shark, manta rays, whales and turtles, apart from the beautiful coral and fish! And had our own “personal photographer” on board who was happy to get out of his way to take last minute photos as I wasn’t able to do so earlier. It will be very hard to top up this experience!

Best customer service from start to finish. Warm friendly staff, with enthusiasm plus and a desire to make the trip memorable for all. And it certainly was. From the older travellers – in their 70s, to the youngest – just 7, we all had a cruise ship full of memories at the end of the trip. We saw breaching humpback whales, varied sharks storming a fish bait ball, schools of dolphins, a few dugongs and manta rays …. and NINE whale sharks! What a day – the opportunity to swim/snorkel with eight of these magnificent quiet giants of the ocean. One was too quick for us. Proof of the fabulous day was evident in our own photos but a gorgeous videographer also captured us on film (optional purchase but well recommended) to show everyone back home we weren’t exaggerating. The food on board was great and plentiful, with the finale being a delicious tropical fruit platter being served along with glasses of champagne and strawberries as we came closer to the shore. (Lemonade for myself and the 7 year old!) A justified toast to a top tour. But it didn’t end there – chocolates were handed out on the coach back to Exmouth. I emphasise the food and customer service, as the next tour we did in nearby Coral Bay – a different company, to swim with manta rays, was disappointing in these categories. We were even told on THAT tour “Don’t eat all this” as a- just -sufficient lunch was served “The crew has to eat too you know!” I think this member of the crew was forgetting who had paid for their services – and the food! But Exmouth and whale shark tours – you have to do it!

We had a fantastic day with Kings. Awesome food, crew, company, boat, marine life and Captain.
Great vibrant crew pick you up in the morning, starting the day with laughter and excitement in anticipation of what its going to be like to swim with a whale shark. I was very impressed with the environmental, marine and local knowledge from the crew. Magellan is a spacious, comfortable boat perfect for spotting marine life with a marlin board that makes it easy to get in and out of the water.
Swimming free along side the whale shark was majestic. And it was just awesome when one of the whale sharks decided to circle us. We had no where to go, so we just sat back and floated, eye to eye with the whale shark watching its body effortlessly turn around us. Magic.

This bunch of crew is definitely a fun one. All every single one of them right through to skipper/ capt Bill is there to ensure your $$ is well spent!
From transport pick up to transfer onto the Magellan, to safety briefing, refreshments, food, and ensuring everyone is well placed to enjoy the experience, they have it all right.
There is nothing I can simply fault them on.
It was a quiet morning when we went out, but the crew kept us entertained and also fulfilling a personal promise to search out a dugong for us.
Overall, it was infectious being on board the Magellan with the Kings’s crew.

Amazing Experience!
We went out with kings on the 1st of april, a monday. We were super lucky to squeeze into the tour the night before and got perfect conditions.
I was really impressed with kings, the staff were wonderful, really relaxed but excited. The food was awesome, and available all day, and coffee was ready to go from the moment we stepped onto the boat. Im not the fittest or most energy filled person in the world, but didn’t find it exhausting, perfectly do-able.
We swam with about 4 or 5 different sharks and because they kept popping up in front of us and we had about 6 or 7 swims, some short, some long. An absolute must do, we really didn’t want to spend the money, but it was worth every cent to swim with such a cool majestic creature, id do it again in a heartbeat! And hopefully will again one day, throughly recommend.

It’s been two days since I went out and I’m still blown away, to swim with the largest shark in the ocean is truly an amazing feeling.
You dive in to 100m deep water you can’t see anything then suddenly out of the shadows an 8m whale shark appears, words cannot describe that exact moment, it is something that has to be experienced.
We founds kings though the info packs at the visitors centre and compared to the other 10 or so companies they offered the best value for money! they had the biggest and best boat with (a large dive deck) “marlin deck” that spreads the whole width of the boat at the back, great for getting in and out of the water quickly, their crew were amazing and full of knowledge, very friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience.
As for value there is only $10 difference in price between the different tour companies but kings offer the biggest boat, an amazing feed all through the day, coffee, milo, cordial, orange juice and water all available, their own spotter plane and a full time photographer/videographer on board to catch all those special moments
Sights, we got to swim with 6 different sharks ranging from 3m – 8m on the day for about 3 hours, by the end I was drained, the sharks can swim a little quick so they really test your physical fitness haha, and when your not with the sharks your snorkeling over the beautiful reefs the Ningaloo has to offer.
Although they can’t always guarantee there will be lots of sharks and perfect weather they will still go out of their way to give you the best experience possible and with everything provided all you need to bring is yourself and a towel
5 stars all the way, I will do this trip again! Thank you kings!

My family went with Bill and his excellent crew to swim with the whale sharks on board the amazing Mangelian,WOW the whole day was amazing. We swam with the whale sharks four times, saw humpbacks, dolphins, giant manta rays, sea turtle, reef fish and coral.There was absolutely nothing the crew could have done to make our day any better it was perfect.
The ages of swimmers on board ranged from two seven year old girls and their ten year old brother,who were amazing to a retired couple which would of been in their seventies , at a guess they were also amazing. The crew made sure every one on board who wanted to get in got in nothing was a problem. I liked to take this opportunity to thank Mark for helping me out of the water each time.I highly recommend King’s , I also recommend the video of the day make sure you let Leith know you want one early so he can capture your day $60 was well worth it.

Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, Humpback Whales
This tour was a highlight of our 2 week trip from Perth to Broome. Never been so close to these big fish in the water. We were lucky to be so many times in the water especial the Manta Rays. Very professional and friendly staff. On the boat there is so much to see and we felled lucky with the calm waters and nature passing by that even our 14 year old son enjoyed every minute. We ordered the video made by Leitz Holtzman and was send to our home address because we travelled the next day. The video (and photo’s) are amazing, nice to look back and show to friends. We recommend to anyone this trip with Kings.

The crew was fantastic and they even organised cake because it was my partner’s birthday that day. It is expensive but is worth it for a once in a lifetime experience! It is a proud price but worth at all!! Very nice and competent Crew. Good handling on board, very good equipment, very good briefing, nice and Funny atmosphere, delicuous food ans very professional behavior with humane and the whale sharks. We saw humpback wales as well. It is even worth to buy the DVD of the camera man…very good quality and much more relaxing to ebjoy the atmosphere with the gently giants! That was my best experience in my life so far!!!!!

What an Amazing Day
The whole day was amazing from start to finish. Lovely, friendly staff picked us up and greeted us, pointed out loads of amazing sites on the way to the coast. The boat was great – delicious food and drinks provided. Saw so many whale sharks, we were lucky enough to have one circle around our group for about 5 minutes so everyone got to have a great experience. We also did some humpback whale spotting and some great snorkelling. All in all a really incredible day, we felt really lucky that we chose Kings because from start to finish, it was perfect.

Incredible mindblowing day out
I actually made this tour 2 yrs ago, but memories are as fresh as today.. From the start to end of the day it was just full of fun.. The staffs love of their work just shone out and gave out the best vibe..
Extremely competent, friendly and great knowledge of their area and especially of the Whale sharks.. We did 6 drops of 10 mins at a time with the Whale Sharks plus 2 long snorkels one in the morning and one later in the day..
Big highlight was seeing some Humpback Whales and watching them breach.. The Skipper Bill was a fun guy who had the best team working for him… Fantastic music accompanied a delicious buffet lunch, also plenty of drinks and snacks..
Had a cinematographer on board who filmed the whole trip well worth purchasing the dvd…

Loved every single minute of being out with the awesome team and will definitely never forget the beautiful experience of snorkelling with 4 majestic whale sharks! The food was awesome and relaxing on the deck after the snorkel just made the whole trip perfect! Thanks Bill and the whole crew. P.S. Awesome DVD!
